About the opportunity:

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, your role as Chef Manager will promote a strong work ethic and have the ability to foster and create a positive working environment. Your responsibilities are to manage the kitchen / café operations in a safe and efficient manner supporting and promoting our safety culture framework. To prepare, cook and serve quality food for customers and clients in conjunction with contractual requirements. Ensure that all tasks associated with food production/service are performed with high regard for all health and safety and food safety regulations.

This is a Full-Time position based at: Brisbane Airport

More specifically you will assist in the following:

  • Develop and implement staff rosters, ensuring all areas are staffed to maximise operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction
    Food preparation, cooking and service
  • Implement procedures to ensure all facets of the operation are delivering highest standards of customer service
  • Purchase / manage stock across the operation
  • Lead and manage people
  • Maintain consumer satisfaction
  • Plan and control menu-based catering
  • Develop and update industry knowledge 
  • Develop menus to meet special dietary and cultural needs
  • Effectively manage the cost of goods within the workplace
  • Perform other duties within your capabilities or as required

  • Experience and ability to lead and develop strong teams
  • Food Safety Supervisors training
  • Previous menu and nutrition planning
  • Prior OH&S training and/or accreditation
  • Prior food hygiene training and/or accreditation
